Diwali :
Diwali or Dipawali means row of lamps. Diwali is the major festival of India. It is festival of lamps. Rows of earthen lights are put up. Houses are decorated with lights and lanterns.
Holi :
Holi is a two days festival. The second day is the festival of colours. People colour each other's faces. They sprinkle colour on each other. This is literally a colourful holiday in India.
Dahi-Handi, the festival of Human Pyramid :
Human Pyramids are made in Mumbai and its sub-urban areas. There are competitions based on height of pyramid and numbar of human layers.
Namaste, the unique greeting :
Namaste or Namaskar is a common spoken greeting or salutation in the Indian subcontinent.
